Our business name was inspired by our location. Overlooking the Ohio River west of Cincinnati and less than one mile from the northern-most point of the State of Kentucky, our ten-acre site is conveniently located approximately six miles from the Cincinnati International Airport. From this location, we are able to quickly call on and service the needs of our manufacturing customers in the tri-state region including Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

The business began as Northern Kentucky Engineering in 1991, serving the needs of plastic manufacturers with injection molds and related tooling. Over the years, the business expanded to include the design and manufacture of metal working tools, fixtures and automated workstations.

In March, 2005, the assets of Northern Kentucky Engineering were acquired by Northpointe, LLC. The new ownership group brought with it many decades of experience in the development and manufacture of automation equipment and packaging machinery. The company continued to do business as Northern Kentucky Engineering until May, 2007, when the “NKE” dba was dropped in favor of the Northpointe name. Under Northpointe ownership, the company and its customers have benefited from significant investments in new CNC equipment, new software platforms/processes for engineering desig, business systems, and a new IT network infrastructure. Additional improvements in capacity planning, workflow tracking and project management processes have resulted in more complete and accurate communications with customers as well as faster delivery times. Finally, the addition of new highly-skilled employees and business partners has advanced and diversified the company’s engineering resources and expanded its capabilities into packaging and vision system applications.
